Viva Las Vegas

by Madison Brooker August 22, 2016

Eula Fern’s just took our first trip to market in Las Vegas. In the past, we always chose to go to Atlanta Apparel Market in Atlanta, GA. For this fall, we decided to try out Vegas for the first time and we were NOT disappointed. Read along to hear about sneak peeks of our market buys, the best restaurants we ate at, and fun photos of our trip!

We flew out of Memphis Monday morning. After arriving in Las Vegas we ventured to the Tropicana Hotel where we would stay as our home away from home. We loved this hotel! The location was perfect and the hotel seemed to be quieter than others, which we appreciated. We headed to the convention center to get our badges and check out the vendors. We had so much fun exploring this mart for the first time. We headed to the MGM to find a good restaurant for dinner. We loved the Margarita and Cheese Pizza’s from Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.

Tuesday began with a mini photo-shoot after our morning Starbucks. With all of the views just outside our hotel, we had to take advantage of it! Then began our first full day at market. We found so many amazing new arrivals for Eula Fern’s. Two pieces that we are DYING to get in would have to be a Black Bomber style jacket and a beautiful Faux Fur Vest! We finished up another successful shopping day and headed to Planet Hollywood’s Mexican restaurant YOLOS. The menu was fantastic and we loved the salsa they had there!

Wednesday was market day three as seen with a picture below. We finished up our buying by mid afternoon so we headed back to the Tropicana to do some work before dinner. We took an Uber to New York New York Hotel where they have a fantastic Italian restaurant. If you are ever in the area, you have to go! It is called Fornaio Las Vegas. The bread is amazing and our favorite dishes had to be the Capellini Al Pomodoro (Angel hair pasta, chopped tomatoes, garlic, marinara sauce, and fresh basil) and the Cannelloni Al Forno (Large fresh pasta tubes filled with free-range rotisserie chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, ricotta, pecorino, smoked mozzarella and organic spinach; topped with béchamel, marina, and mushrooms). YUM! We ended today on a really good note with our stomachs full but our hearts were fuller!

Thursday we were able to sleep in and enjoy breakfast. We had amazing omelets and pastries from the hotels dining room. Of course accompanied by our favorite Starbucks drinks. With the four of us there will always be a Peppermint Mocha, Cinnamon Dolce Latte, Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino, and a Salted Caramel White Chocolate Mocha in the mix! We worked by the pool for several hours finishing up the new website that launched that evening. Around 3:00 we began to get ready for a photo-shoot on the Las Vegas Strip. We were so excited to launch the new website! We headed to the Cosmopolitan to have appetizers from China Poblano which is a Chinese and Mexican restaurant. They had the best salsa and it did not last long between the four of us! This hotel was beyond beautiful and it had the biggest chandelier I have ever seen in my life. We did some site seeing and landed for dinner outside at Tom’s Urban. We began with the Double Dip Hummus, which was fantastic. Then we shared All American Cheeseburger Sliders and Fries, as well as the Boulder Club Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries. We couldn’t even eat all of the food there was so much. We ended the night with matching Las Vegas t-shirts and going to bed early.

Our 4:30 wake up call came too early on Friday morning. It was time to say goodbye to Las Vegas. Our 3-hour flight consisted of planning and brainstorming with all of the laughs and memories made over the last few days. We hate to leave each other, but we look forward to our next Eula Fern’s endeavor! Thanks for reading along and sharing this experience with us. We CANNOT wait to show you everything we have in store for our amazing customers!
XOXO,
Madi
