Words of Wisdom

I attend a ladies Bible class on Tuesday mornings and most of the ladies in the class are in their 60's, 70's, and even 80's.  You may be think it is odd that I choose to spend time with women who are 20, or even 30, years older than me. Well, the fellowship with these ladies is the highlight of my week! My friends have walked the road of life and have so much to share about how to be a wife, how to be a mom, how to be a friend, and how to live life! A word of wisdom I have learned from one of my older friends is to have a thankful heart no matter what is going on in my life. As I have tested this wisdom I found it is true--it is hard to be thankful for all the blessings I have and to dwell on my troubles at the same time.   My prayer is that you have friends of all ages, and if you don't, that you will seek that treasure in your life.

"And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:20

May your friendships be blessed,

Melody, you are so right. However, the blessings flow both ways. The younger ones help the older ones feel more youthful plus we can and do learn so much from each other.
